Week2 post-session review:Reflection of Slash Australians' Power Bill by Beheading a Duck at Night

This article first shows big changes of electricity consumption by solar panels, we can see that it really reduces electricity consumption at a special time, but at peak demand time, it has a small change, this new look daily trend in Australians' power use is called the duck. Then, it gives us data and diagrams to state the real cost of solar and air conditioning and explain what causes, such as inefficient energy consumption and air conditioner. Finally, it puts forward an interesting view: most of us consider how to make room cooler, how about change the ways we think, for example, to think about what makes room get so hot such as lamps and plasma TV. Therefore, to change lamps into more efficient LED lightings and LCD TVs, also use shading or heat-rejecting window films, insulation and draught proofing to make room cooler.
Moreover, I think the house should be designed more sustainably to avoid using electricity to make it cooler. For example, using cross ventilation to minimize heat. In this way, we can reduce electricity consumption.

Electricity consumption is a problem in Australia, in light of this, we should not only use new technology but also use energy efficiently.
